If I remember correctly they are the same thread size and pitch just a slightly different thread style. The only problem I've had with it is sometimes, if the slide is not racked hard enough, the shell won't fully eject, but that's operator error and I'm sure other pump guns do the same. So I can't blame the gun for that.
