Aug 23, 2010 · As far as i Can tell the main differences are. 1) optima has 26" stainless barrel Vs wolf 24" blued. 2)thumbhole stock, i have never shot a thumbhole stock gun and am not sure if i will like it. 3)price the optima is about $90 more than the wolf however only $50 after i purchase the durasight -dead on sight that i think that i like.
The closest thing I've come up with was the date code being the first two numbers of the serial number for older models and the last two numbers being the date code for later models. The rifle I was gifted only has a five digit serial number.
