Or we need to be able to buy an engram that guarantees a specific weapon for x amount of strange coins. Or the red border drop rates in DoE needs to be raised significantly (+200-300%) OR!!

Now you have to play Dares till your eyes fall out if you want a good roll on a 30th anniversary weapon, or the cosmetics, because they're now massively more time-consuming to get ahold of.
