Right so I did a thing where I gave anyone who picked the Shieldmaster feat a bonus action attack with their shield for 1d4, as a test. The paladin picked it. So, that means the paladin did 2d8+5+2 (fighting style)+2 (weapon) with two regular attacks and then 1d4+1d8+5 with a bonus attack. He could also smite with all three attacks.
