My love for the long glaive is a lot about the feeling but i didn't try a lot of weapons actually. What I like about the Long Glaive: Good damage and range to be able to "harass" in close combat the ennemy cavalry without risking to die. AboutHaven't used the Long Glaive yet but I think I'll like it for the flexibility of using as a lance one handed with a shield in the other. I've been using the Glaive like that and got lucky in a few battles charging far ahead of my line with my shield raised against projectiles hunting the enemy commander and disrupting their formation.Glaive is the best mounted weapon in the entire game due to combination of great reach, reasonably fast swing speed that massively benefits from rider's momentum and AI that responds by pulling out one-handed weapon when attacked in such way. Earliest one I've been able to find is the billhook in Vlandia but the Glaive (found in Khuzait) or Menvalion from imperial towns are my favorites. #9.
