Eldritch Knight/ Bladesinger Multiclass. Hey gang, I've been running an eldritch knight in CoS and he's a bruiser. Booming blade on top of an extra attack and shield for that sweet 27 AC in plate and cloak of protection is real nice. He has Absorb Elements, Expertise in Stealth, and as a Swahsbuckler can get away from enemies easily, has high AC, and Uncanny Dodge, and I wish he had higher Con but oh well. Mix your mobs, have a diverse group of melee, ranged and casters to attack your players, and deplete their resources. Bladesong and Rage last a minute, the fight takes 24 seconds, then they have to walk to the next room or wait for the next wave for 2 minutes.
