It is marked 1918 and 1920. What was the 1920 mark for? Second it has a different number on the rear of the main lower frame 1843 vs. 2701 on the rest of the pistol. All numbers match. Last but not least it appears to have X out unit number on the rear grip frame K and another letter and the number 10.I don't see a lightening bolt "3" or "E" under the sn on the frame. I don't have my books to check if a "ns" no suffix block was made in 1940, but on the way from the "z" block back to the "a" block there is a no-suffix block. Values: These were selling for $600 or so the last time a bunch were imported a few years ago.Since the transitioned the year from 1939-1940 with the "Z" suffix, the gun was probably made very late in 1939. A nice looking Luger that has an Erfurt toggle train and frame but the trigger has been replaced (different number) and the barrel is a replacement. The lack of a date likely means it was reworked post WW1. Caliber is impossible to determine from your pictures but the fact that it's been re-barreled suggests that it MAY be 30 caliber (7.65mm).
