How did the business get started? "Captain Ray" and "Miss Ann" Singleton had built a thriving commercial shrimping and charter fishing operation in Mayport, FL. In 1969 Miss Ann began to cook the fish that had been caught by their charter guests on the day's trip. Miss Ann's cooking was a big hit and Singleton's Seafood Shack was born.
