It does open close however, manually. Dash also has warning light and says "Rear Lift Gate Problem". Made an appointment and after three open closes it fixed itself.Using a power meter check the fuse. If there is no power simply replace the blown fuse and then try opening your trunk again. I'm kicking exactly as the manual says and it will open and close inconsistently. This is very annoying, especially since this was one of the features we really liked.As discussed in the other thread, the tailgate light has nothing to do with whether it is open or closed. It has to do with there being a problem with the power tailgate system.
