2005 CHEVROLET IMPALA. FWD. 102,000 MILES. The seller say it sounds like a bad piston but the engine rides smooth and there is no smoke from the exhaust.I have a 08 Chevrolet Impala with a 3.5 with 70k miles. Help. Ac making knocking noise I have a similar problem. I just bought a 2007 impala lt with the 3.5 L v6. There is no problem with the ac when its on but when I turn it off it makes a knocking noise from the passanger side for about 30 sec then stops. It ony does it after turning off the ac or vehicle.
