A surprisingly violent and striking film by Kevin Smith, no more ironic but critical and nightmarish in his approach to an absurd and excessive story of guns, rednecks and anti-state environment. Smith leaves irony, a black and dark one, at the end, when the film seems to take another unpredictable direction.
