However, that's also a bit of a problem as many people are play this as a visual novel with JRPG elements and not the other way around. They forget to invest time into the JRPG elements of the game. The fight is easiest in merciless. Personally, I didn't have much problem, if at all, with any of bosses in P5/P5R, including Okumura. Granted I only beat him in Normal difficulty and I was around lvl 40-45. My only DLC persona was Izanagi Picaro at around lvl 43 I think.

The closest it's ever "needed" is Madarame's boss fight which can still very much be done by just using 1 More and focusing the real Madarame with Phys skills. If it was just that it would honestly be fine, but they put a timer on a boss battle fought in waves, that is explicitly designed to waste time. And it keeps ticking in dialogue.
