Had my carburetor rebuilt by Jim Hughes (known for 8n carb service), and tried it as he sent it to me. Nothing. Turned the main mixture jet out to 3 turns out and it started and ran pretty good but not smooth. Ran the best when choke was closed about 70%. According to the service manual, the float should be set at 1 5/16. To check it, I set the carb upside down and measured from the bottom of the top half of the carb to the bottom of the float.
