If you do something wrong then you are screwed and have to start over or tolerate your mistake. Its perfectly understandable for a new player to want other people's input. Uchi is one of the best weapons in the game and you can use it to make one of the few actually good boss weapons in the game. It does scale almost entirely with dex so from an efficiency stand point it may not be the best for you. You might want to try and find a quality (str/dex) scaling alternative instead.

EvelynBlood. • 3 yr. ago. Both are great. I personally prefer the Uchigatana on a pure dex build and the Balder Side Sword on a Dex/Int or Dex/Fth build. Main reason is that at 14str/40dex the Uchigatana has 420 attack rating and the Balder Side Sword has 379. Against enemies with high physical resistance that extra ~40AR is pretty noticeable.

Thrust-type damage less resisted overall in PvE, slash-type, which is why you don't see the Uchigatana used in top-speedruns. Strike is even less resisted, but often on slow, high req weapons, which is why some like to have a Mace as backup (usually only 100% speedruns, which don't skip Iron Keep).Fala galera!
