Welcome to the forum! Concur it's an M&P 1905 4th Change. The S&W Standard Catalog puts the serials 241704-700000 between 1915 and 1942. Not a lot of help. They weren't made at an even x-number per year, so extrapolating your serial in that range isn't going to be exact. I'm mostly trying to figure out the twist rate of the barrel without having to take it apart. Let me know if I can provide any extra info, thanks for yalls time.
