I think I'll be able to get as high as I want with them. I have the regular Hawk Helium sticks as well. Sep 1, 2020 · I've been looking at a lot of rope mods for the Hawk Helium sticks. Everyone seems to be putting Lone Wolf Versa Buttons on the sticks in order to do a rope mod.

Thought I'd share the modifications I made to my climbing sticks. Having to deal with metal to metal noises I put 2 coats of Hercules bed liner (Lowes) then painted. The bed liner ruberized the pieces. After painting with primer gray I used the sponge method to finalize the color scheme.1.25″ = Beast Stick, EWO, XOP, LWCG Steel. 1.5″ = Hawk, API, Muddy, Timber Ninja. 1.75″ = Lone Wolf, Novix, Trophy Line. Amsteel rope mods are a great way to attach your sticks to a tree. 1/4 being the most common. These are 8ft in length and black. They will be finished with a back splice and an 8in shock cord for storage.

I put the small Hawk platform on top of the 20” stick. On my 36” sticks I put singles on them. 2 of them have 6mm rope and hose for the step. Figure 8s on each end with the bite going through the bottom steps hole…..love these. My first mod was done with that emergency strap that comes with harnesses.
