From her early days as a social worker in Chicago to, more recently, the Director of Community Outreach for the Museum, Leah Oppenheimer has spent most of her life working with the underserved. We recently spoke with Leah about her background, her outreach efforts with the East End’s Latino population, and her ever expanding role at the Museum. CMEE is delighted to collaborate with the Retreat and Suffolk County Fatherhood Initiative to encourage fathers to improve their family relationships, learn communication skills and discuss employment education.
