The reason I went with the CPX-2 was because it has no external/manual safety to disengage. The supposed "Newly designed" CPX-1 has fixed the safety problem by a guard molded into the frame.

The SCCY was a bit thicker and a few ounces heaver, but also had 3 more rounds. This was a big plus in my book. The SCCY was also about $50 cheaper than my PF-9 and came with an extra mag.
