Once I unchecked the update from loading so I was just playing SMO 1.0 it went a lot better. I also had some crashing because of the "disable dynamic resolution" mod. When I disabled that, and being on 1.0, I never had another crash. Can't guarantee that's your personal fix but if you have an update enabled or that mod, for sure try disabling them.

You may be able to get around this issue by pushing the L+R buttons on the second player controller only (or the last player controller if doing more than 2 players) when the game boots up. At least, this works on Ryujinx. If I remember right, this worked around the controller applet issue for some reason.
Yuzu crashing when trying to open a game. Not sure why this is happening, it was working perfectly fine yesterday, and since then nothing has changed. I haven't altered any of my settings. In terms of trying to find a solution, I've attempted changing my profile and changing my pagefile size to 12000 mb. Neither of those have worked so far.
After rebooting, Yuzu crashes around ten seconds after opening every time (after it completes the automated updater). I basically have five seconds to do whatever I want in the GUI, but after those five or so it locks up, and then closes. I have tried manually forcing an update and repair using the maintenance tool, and the issue persists.

That's a sign you're running into memory leaks. You can force a experimental GC with Ctrl+U iirc, but honestly, I'd advise to use EA 1866+ as Hades is in there and it solves many issues regarding crashes. If you can't afford it, wait for it to reach mainline. Three options are available to solve this for now: The user can disable fastmem from yuzu’s settings, the setting is in Emulation > Configure… > General > Debug, from there, enable the option labeled as Enable CPU Debugging at the bottom, and from the CPU tab, disable both Enable Host MMU Emulation options near the bottom.
